Odeon Cinemas teamed up with SwipeStation for a ‘surprise and delight’ campaign when they were looking to drive engagement and repeat footfall during the Summer blockbuster period.

This new and interactive campaign, with one of the nation’s leading cinema chains, was implemented across 10 sites over the country. It meant that we had bagged ourselves our first ever national campaign!

This dual campaign encouraged cinema visitors to purchase combo deals to obtain a QR code which they scanned at a Swipestation to ‘swipe and see’ what they’d won. 1000’s of instant-win prizes were up for grabs, ranging from a free large Pepsi-Max, popcorn buckets, Pepsi-Max bottle torch rings, Pepsi Max headphones, iPad Mini’s and even a once-in-a-lifetime trip for two to Hollywood!


Conversion Rate

We were able to achieve repeat footfall as the more combo deals a customer bought, the higher the chances of them winning. Therefore, driving the sale of all Britvic drinks throughout the 10 Odeon Cinemas and achieving the campaign goal.

This campaign has been a first for SwipeStation, as 10 UK Odeon Cinemas embraced the units for 12 weeks. The campaign hit over 5,000 scans from just one site with the total number of scans hitting just shy of 30,000. On top of that,  we also achieved a conversion rate of 24% of instant winners to online prize draw sign-ups, a staggering uptake!
